In the spirit of trying to keep my posts current and real time, this one comes to you a month late…so sorry! On Sunday March 22, 2009, I found myself at church, although this time I was not covering a wedding but something totally foreign to me! Joee asked me if I could document his son, Brandon’s baptism. I was honored but also nervous…partly because I did not know what to expect and what photos would come of it…mostly because I am shooting this for Joee who I see not only as a my mentor, my boss, but my friend. When I gave the images to Joee, he was joking about whether or not we can still be friends based on the images I deliver to him. Here are some of my favorites of the day.
This series was magical to me. Brandon was crying at the time but when the priest came over and touched his head with some ointment, Brandon became instantly calm.
Suffice to say that Joee and I are still friends.

Here we go back in time again…Karen and Shameel’s wedding took place on October 18, 2008 at the beautiful Graydon Hall Manor. I really enjoyed shooting this wedding with Margaret . It was the culmination of the perfect balanced weather, the elegant venue and great couple. Here are some of my favorites of the evening.
I have not posted in a while, let alone post something current. You would not believe but I have been keeping busy as the wedding season is picking up in the next couple of week, I really want to post all my 2008 work before this happens as I anticipate quite a bit happening.
On March 21, 2009, I had the pleasure to document Liz and Brian’s wedding along with Margaret and Lucy. Seeing that is was still cold in March I was really looking forward to this wedding because we were to shoot in a greenhouse! That way we would avoid the gloomy cold and grey weather.
The ceremony took place at the Queensway Cathederal which did not look like a church at all. The place was massive with multiple tier seating…it looked like a perfect place for a production! Congrats Liz and Brian!
Woohoo!! I have never seen a water fountain in the middle of a wedding cake but isn’t this the coolest thing!!! ( i think so….look at the kool-aid go!)
Ok, so this shot has the videographer’s tripod in it and yes, I took this photo intentionally. At the time…even when I am looking at it now, this perspective gives the photo a little more dimension and a sense of space to it. The shot below is the exact same with a tighter crop to avoid the tripod and although nice…I think the one above gives it a more photo journalistic feel…is it just me?
